Saw a sign in Montreal: "A city without new construction will lose it's vitality".
I am all for the Commanders having a new stadium back in DC. I'm sick and tired of looking at a worn out, nasty, paint-chipped old stadium. New stadiums are fabulous!! It will bring a spirit to the city!! Maybe now that Dan Snyder is gone and the organization can regain some respect, we'll have a true team to pull for once again. suzi evans 124 13th St. SE

What’s wrong with a stadium? When I first moved to DC there were football games there, as there had been for four decades, without much fuss. When the Nats came to town, everyone in the neighborhood walked to games there without any complaints. There’s plenty of room for housing, development, mixed use, etc.

Wednesday at 10:00 AM the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability will debate the bill in a scheduled markup. (https://oversight.house.gov/release/comer-announces-full-committee-markup/), announced by Chairman James Comer (R-KY). The bill would 'transfer the administrative jurisdiction' of RFK from the Secretary of the Interior to the Administrator of the General Services Administration (GSA), allowing the city to revitalize the site. The bill would extend D.C.'s lease with the federal government for 99 years and would allow the city to pursue mixed-use development on the RFK site, which could include commercial properties, housing projects, or even a stadium.
