[Lincolnparkdc] lincolnparkdc Digest, Vol 32, Issue 2

More than a year ago, a local resident turned a vacant apartment building
at the corner of Independence and 5th St. SE into an Airbnb with,
I believe, eight units. It is, effectively, an unattended hotel and
absolutely out of zoning. Complaints to DRCA resulted in nothing except a
request that we conduct a documentary and surveillance investigation! The
policy questions around Airbnbs are complicated, but I thought they are
supposed to be settled by law and enforcement. Instead, as usual, we have
developers doing whatever they hell they feel like.
