[Lincolnparkdc] rose rosette disease

Mia — Rose Rosette is rampant on the Hill. Entire blocks around A and 6th NE were infected last year. I thought that the only thing to do was remove them when infected. In our yard, we removed perhaps 8 drift roses and replaced with Lenten Rose.

We have another patch of drift roses which appears to be infected, but we are hopefully controlling with horicultural oil and careful pruning. Time will tell. It’s a bummer.

Best, Amy
