We have a water shutoff system and have had no problems   Ours allows us to set the sensitivities for both a home and away mode.  Jim Chambers ACW PLUMBING did a great job installing and his nephew set up all the internet/phone based monitoring software. Our insurer made us buy it and paid for it. It is Leak Defense System   Good luck!
