And these are the vaccination registration eligibility dates and categories Mayor Bowser shared in her monday presentation. A link to that presentation is at
https://coronavirus.dc.gov/sites/default/files/dc/sites/mayormb/release_content/attachments/Situational-Update-Presentation-1-04-21.pdf
Week of January 11: DC residents who are 65 years old and older
Week of January 25: Specific categories of essential workers, including public safety workers, grocery store workers, workers in PreK-12 educational settings and childcare settings
Week of February 1: DC residents with chronic medical conditions and other essential workers
To be clear, those are dates they announced to register for the vaccine. I'm not sure whether you'll be able to register for an appointment immediately from that screen or not. But, keep in mind, there are were about 80,000 people estimated in phase1a. As of monday, only about 18,000 had received the first dose of a vaccine. There are a similar number of people in the category of DC residents 65 years of age or older. So, this will take time. That being said, I have no idea whether if you register early you get to the head of the line or not.
best,
Steve

I was referring to the email update which I remembered referring to a phase. I may have misremembered.

HI Tom,
Thanks for this. I went to the site to register and, with the exception of health care workers, it only allowed me to sign up for an email update about what happens next, but not for any information about when "your phase" of the rollout begins. Did I miss something--or can you clarify the information above?
Thanks,
Deb Hurtt

Dear Neighbors:
A friend provided this link to register for the vaccination. I hadn’t seen or heard of this before, wanted to pass it along: http://vaccinate.dc.gov/
The registration site will ask you if you are a healthcare worker. If you answer no it will still allow you to register and provides the option of informing you when “your phase” of the rollout occurs.
Best wishes to all for a Safe, Prosperous and Happy New Year!
