[Lincolnparkdc] Nothing like a downpour to pinpoint a roof leak...

Hello neighbors:

We would like to get recommendations for a company to repair our leaking
slate-tiled cupola on the roof, and we have a number of questions we hope
you can help us answer.

 Has anybody repaired their cupolas with "artificial" slate and been
satisfied with the results and price?

Could you provide a price range we can expect to replace with new slate
tile (the rest of the roof appears to be sound)?

I assume a permit and /or Historic Preservation Office permission is
required  for this work?

A number of folks have recommended Tom Ruegg of Perma-Roof Systems in the
past.  Has anyone used Tom recently?  Any other candidates?
