[Lincolnparkdc] Need Speed Camera at 17th + A SE

Somebody has complained about the same about a year ago and they sent an
officer to check it.

I was able to talk to that officer (officer Robinson) asking him about
cameras. The officer said: "people in the neighborhood need to start with
311 number. More people call - more probability that the government will
put a camera to control that.

I used to walk my dog crossing that intersection and completely agree that
there are times when the drivers simply don't notice pedestrians who wait
to cross the street.

Also there is a sign there that says about a fine of $500 for not stoping
in front of the crossing pedestrians doesn't scare them, even though the
actual fine is no more than $250 according to the officer Robinson.
