[Lincolnparkdc] Fwd: Missing package

Good point Jessica.I do appreciate this point of view. I am sure your
neighbor is one of the good Postal workers, like our former mailman Tony.
He left packages in the garbage can and put an orange slip in the mailbox
when one was there. But instead most of the postal workers now leave
packages on the porch and don't ring the bell. For the most part we are all
home, so most likely if you ring the bell someone will come. You can also
hide it somewhat. None of this takes more time and isn't the reason they
are overworked.

I'm pretty sure my package was stolen. I switched to having things
delivered here because I'm home now. I saw the postman when he was
delivering the mail and he said the package was on the truck and then when
I went out later, no package. It's been 4 weeks, so it's not going to come.

I guess I just think if you are delivering mail in this area then you know
that we have a lot of package theft and you would care more about how you
leave packages. Most of the time we as consumers don't have a choice of how
our packages are delivered, only where.

When Diana was our mail person for a while, I asked her to do what Tony did
with the garbage can and the orange slip, but then she left. It would be
nice to have a regular person again that we can get to know and who would
get to know us and our habits.
