I'm shocked -- shocked! -- to learn that the National Park Service and the
federal government are sending confusing messages on coronavirus. ;)

Yes, definitely two different messages.

Those signs were placed in the general area, by the Lincoln statue, not the
playground, after the police made people disperse prior to dusk, about 5:30
p.m.

However, I think you are fine as long as the police are not there. If the
cops show up, be warned that I was told they were  writing tickets last
night.

Perhaps someone could ask Eleanor to clarify.
