The friend of a colleague of mine has been laid off/furloughed because of
the pandemic. She is happy to cook for people or bake with your kids so you
can get some work done.

Here is her pitch:

My name is Juliet Warren, and I am the sous pastry chef at Ris in West End.
Like most restaurant workers, I found myself out of work due to
coronavirus. I’m hoping to use my cooking and baking skills to help people
who are unexpectedly home with kids during this confusing time.I used to be
a line cook and pastry chef at Sababa and Bindaas in Cleveland Park, and
before that I was trained by Chef Mark Furstenberg of Bread Furst in Van
Ness.I am available to work as either a personal chef or a baking
babysitter or both! I would grocery shop and cook/bake based on your
tastes. If babysitting, I could bake with your kids.I have a lot of
experience babysitting, and have worked as a camp counselor and a teaching
assistant at Northwestern University’s youth summer program, the Center for
Talent Development. I taught research skills and creative writing to middle
school students. I am a 2017 graduate of Kenyon College with a history
major and chemistry minor. If you are interested, please email me at
j.bellinwarren at gmail.com and we can set up a time to discuss on the phone.
Thank you!
