[Lincolnparkdc] Lincoln Park trash / a Lincoln Park missioned community group

It is truly great that the neighborhood has Lincoln Park in its backyard.
It is a national park that seems well loved. *What is not great* is how
some people either pathetically don't know for better, or worse, don't care
about leaving their trash.  For example, attached are the pictures of the
trash left by a group who were picnicking Friday night. Loose garbage was
not put in bags, all left to blow about and scatter in the rain and wind.

There was a posting of a person wanting to start a non-profit for Lincoln
Park, the mission statement read broad but encouraged more activities and
events at the park. These may be good but these may be not good.
Public activities in the park impact neighborhood residents. In the
positive, it could be better grounds and bench maintenance, open air art,
health, environmental programs for kids and adults. In the negative, it
could be more trash left by inconsiderate people (as exampled) or increased
noise from Summer concerts with competition for parking to accommodate
people. And, still raw for many people is the park statue becoming a
flashpoint this Summer requiring chainlink and jersey barriers with 24 hour
patrols.   If the idea moves forward, please keep this in consideration.

And please people, pick up your trash.
