Hello Neighbors, 3 years ago, I started the Adopt an Urn Project at Lincoln
Park. I signed a volunteer agreement with the National Park Service and
recruited 16 dedicated neighbors from the LP area and each of us "adopted a
concrete plant urn" at the park. You might have noticed all the flowers and
vines over the past years. That's US! There are 17 urns.
We plant flowers that can take the heat of summer and then promise to water
them. This is done at our expense and we have to haul in water, often twice
a week in the summer,  since there are no spigots that work in the park.
When one of us goes on vacation, I find a substitute person who can help
water the plants.

Currently, I have 3 urns which are available for "adoption" since folks
have moved away.

If you would love to participate in our neighborhood beautification
project, please let me know and I can meet you at the park to show you the
available urns Wednes or Thursday night. I live on 10th nearby.
