I am writing with concern about the safety of the crosswalks across East Capitol Street into Lincoln Park. In the winter months when it is dark early safely crossing this busy street with my young children is very difficult.
I have one easy request -- to get the police to stop parking a car on the western side of the crosswalk near Kentucky Ave. I assume they are doing this as a speeding/crime deterrent however the result is that traffic can't see you around the car when you want

I would also love to see: bright streetlights at the cross walks, a button with flashers for pedestrians to activate, stop signs, and speed bumps to slow drivers.
