The other hazard is crossing East Cap and having cars yield to crossing pedestrians. If the car nearest to the pedestrian stops to yield, they still screen the view of the driver in the farther lane, thus the pedestrian has to make sure they have been seen before crossing the last of the three lanes. They added the little poles, which was an improvement from what was there before - nothing. I hope the bump-outs will be built out, eventually, when the bike lanes become permanent.
