I live on the park and walk around it at least 3 times a day. Another branch came down just now during the storm.

There are so many trees that are either dead or dying with branches hanging off them that I am stunned at how poorly the National park is at taking care of the grounds. I get the feeling they don't really care. On April 30 during the 60mph wind storm I was nearly hit by the the big branch that came down. It fell 10 feet in front of me as I was walking my puppy.

My question to this list serve is... I think we need to do something. If the National Park is not going to take care of the Park in a proper way are there any ideas out there? The 501(c)3 group that has been forming for several years now is taking much too much time to get organized and in the end do we REALLY need a not for profit in the short term. We need an arborist NOW, pdq.

Ideas?

Mia on East Capitol Street, SE
_______________________________________________
LincolnParkDC mailing list

To post to the list address your message to: LincolnParkDC@lincolnparkdc.info
When replying, please consider whether to reply to the sender only, or to the list, which is the default.
Not all replies are appropriate for the entire list.

Please do not send administrative requests to the list.
