<div dir="ltr">Sorry, but are the Maryland plates your only reason for assuming the car is abandoned or does not belong to someone who lives in the neighborhood?  We are in a pandemic, the DMV is difficult to access, and parking permits are not being enforced. 

 So the owner of the car may have moved here during the pandemic, and is waiting to update with the DMV (and may even have an appointment months out).</div>

<div dir="ltr">I reported it for the first time a month ago and the complaint was closed saying it was not an abandoned vehicle. At that time I thought maybe they had already run it through the stolen car database. But it’s still there, never moved. </div>

<div dir="ltr">I didn’t wait - yesterday I filled out a 311 request again to have the car removed. This time I added more information on the description of the car including that it’s tags and registration are expired. So we’ll see what happens. </div>

<div>Why wait?  Report it today by calling 311 so police can check if it's stolen - it has Maryland plates so they don't live here. The process may take several weeks for them to put a notice on the car to give the owner time to respond so it would be best

 to get it started asap.<br>

Does anyone know who owns a <b><u>blue Toyota Corolla with expired Maryland tags 4CL735 parked in front of 125 Kentucky</u></b> Avenue SE? It's not moved for months, doors are unlocked, it has a lot of trash in it and appears to be inoperable. Worst of all,

 I saw a rat run under it the other night while walking my dog, so I'm afraid it's now harboring rodents. If we can't find the owner, I'll report it as an abandoned vehicle to 311 and maybe they can tow it to the DC impound lot.
