IN HOUSE RESOLUTION HR7466 This memorial to President Lincoln was paid for by the formerly enslaved, fugitive slaves and the Unions’ U.S. Colored Troops who knew Lincoln as the President that led us through our greatest trial to emancipate the ancestors of some of those who wish to remove it!!! We cannot let Congress remove this important history placed there with the hard earned funds of the formerly enslaved! </span></div>
