evening. had been set for this evening, Thursday, June 25th, but was postponed yesterday and rescheduled for tomorrow, Friday, June 26th at 7pm. Not sure what form this will take given today's actions by NPS however assume a gathering will take place.</span><br>

Two days ago, at the request of the US Dept of Interior (the parent agency of the NPS), 400 DC National Guard members(unarmed) were mobilized to prepare to be posted at various locations throughout DC with the stated mission of "protecting" national monuments
in the District of Columbia. Yesterday, the Trump administration supplemented these by assigning Federal Marshalls, who normally protect jails, courthouses, transfer prisioners, etc. to a special unit tasked with a similar mission regarding the monuments.
To be clear, there is no indication that the District government made any request for this support.</div>
