Speed has always been a problem at this intersection despite the four traffic lights, and a year and a half ago a police car on a chase ran the red light and struck a SUV which destroyed our fence and rose garden and severely damaged our porch. Last week a stolen car with multiple passengers ran the red light going north at 12:30 am and struck a car legally going east. Various cars were hit and the stolen car spun around and burst into flames and then exploded incinerating one occupant as the rest fled. Horrendous. Article in the Post today how vehicle speed is accelerating with the pandemic. with handicapped residents on the west side who need to be able to have parking and access to their residences. We have not asked to reserve a space for our car in order not to create problems for our close and very kind neighbors.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
