I was informed last night by the DC Department of General Services that an Eastern Market staff member tested positive for the virus yesterday. As a consequence, the Market has been temporarily closed to enable a deep cleaning to take place. DGS anticipates
that Eastern Market will be reopen for business on tuesday morning. </div>

I was asked not to share this until this morning to enable DC government to individually notify South Hal Merchants and Farmers and begin the process of contact tracing. I don't have any further knowledge and do not know who the staff member was who has tested
