Chris. I totally agree. But that same mess is in the Park trash cans. Out of sight out of mind for many. So I guess if everyone in the neighborhood took responsibility for the WHOLE area, we would not have a problem. Simply tying poopy bags would have been

 a beginning. So what’s the point of preventing rats who are attracted to dog waste?  Isn’t picking up after your dog for that reason as well as smells, stepping in it, unsightly and unsanitary space. Well I agree and want people to take more interest in the

 entire perimeter not just what is in front of their house. 

<div>When papers and junk is left from the cans I routinely pick it up and dispose of it rather than pretend that it’s someone else’s job. I live here and our public space deserves as much scrutiny and care as our personal garden or sidewalk. </div>

 to dispose of bag. IMHO. I’m calling DPW anyway. We may have a case for NIMBY and I understand. Perhaps Ind and 12th St. ?  House far from street than Diana is. Lots of walkers on that route as well from Metro and Eastern Market going home.
