Well many neighbors on 12th and also on Ky put all their trash cans for pickup in that location. That is an unsightly mess usually. Bags and cans brimming over. Things thrown just Willy nilly. How come nobody complains about that mess? Several of us have repeatedly
asked for people to follow the rules and put your trash in front of your house. But, no, those neighbors would rather have that mess in someone else’s space. Surely none who take part in that community trash pickup ever go out to clean up junk strewn around.
Better not in front of your house. Sounds kind of NIMBY to me. !!

So I am not going to pursue this further but as litter mounts from street traffic, let’s not get upset. As poop bags appear in your personal cans, let’s not get upset. One public trash receptacle is needed somewhere I think. Where will all those bottles, candy
wrappers, and crap go from passers-by? Probably right on the sidewalk!! So the trash will come home to roost folks. The greater good of one public can will now be spread all around the neighborhood with a big mess. Isn’t that what many neighbors didn’t want
so came up with that communal trash collection nightmare?? So be it. Unfortunate act of complete NIMBY!!!
