Not to take a side here but anonymity is protected by the Constitution
(first amendment). Trolling and bullying are both not the direction I hope
this listserv takes regardless of who operates it. I got onto Crestwood's
listserv -- though I don't live there -- when I needed help a resident
stepped up and it would have been a nightmare without that. Building walls
around community engagement and drumming up bias seems counter to a
community listserv's purpose.

The right to anonymity, particularly in the context of speech, is a deeply
rooted constitutional value in the United States, primarily protected under
the First Amendment. This right allows individuals to express themselves,
even controversial opinions, without fear of reprisal or public
exposure. While the U.S. Constitution doesn't explicitly mention anonymity,
the Supreme Court has recognized its importance in facilitating free speech
and democratic discourse.
Elaboration:

   - *First Amendment Protection:*
   The First Amendment's protection of freedom of speech and association
   extends to anonymous speech and association. This protection is crucial for
   individuals to express unpopular or controversial views without fear of
   retaliation.
