[Lincolnparkdc] Clarification on Lincoln Park Listserv vs Newsletter recently advertised

Come on-
There's definitely fear-mongering in the Lincoln Park Newsletter: "H Street
is a scary drug-laden mess"  (Feb '25), and  "Did a faulty DDOT design lead
to a pedestrian death" (Jan '25) "Death on C Street: How a traffic calming
scheme went awry" (Dec '24) "Be nice to biker bros-you jerks" (Dec '24).
Then there's a couple of articles written from the viewpoint of the
writer's dogs. While I love both of my dogs, and have been a dog-owner on
Lincoln Park since '94, I don't think anyone would want to hear a story
written by them. But hey, maybe that appeals to some folks, so okay. If so,
subscribe to their Substack.

I suppose they might be aiming for parody (that's what one of their
articles stated that Lincoln Park Newsletter is "parody, news and opinion"
but as it stands it comes across as very mean-spirited and not neighborly
at all.

And finally, the authors don't always provide a by-line for their articles,
so you don't really know which of your neighbors is trying to turn you
against each other. Some of the recent emails shilling for the Lincoln Park
Newsletter are also not signing their posts. Again, choosing to remain
anonymous instead of cultivating a community wherein you know who is
posting a question, or a criticism.
