People over Profits: Tax Justice for All
The Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) is holding an in-person outside Interfaith Gathering and Call to Action: Gather in prayer, song, and a call to responsible action!

Right now, there's a critical conversation happening about our tax system. With 2017 tax cuts expiring in 2025 - will we continue to prioritize the ultra-wealthy, or invest in the things our communities need to thrive?
This is both a DC and national event by its nature as taxes - both how they are raised and how the money is spent matters to - and impacts - us all.

     *   Tax decisions directly affect funding for housing, public safety, our environment, and infrastructure in our communities.

     *   Tax cuts for the wealthy don't "trickle down" to create jobs or raise wages—history shows they primarily increase inequality.

     *   The current tax system reinforces extreme wealth disparity including primarily benefiting wealth-holders and cutting programs that support working families and communities.
There will be prayer, song and a call to action, and we hope you can come and bring a friend or neighbor. We would like as many clergy as possible - This is a Moral Issue - not just a Policy Debate!
