[Lincolnparkdc] Wow 1 Day Painting - Illegal signs littering the neighborhood

Hello neighbors - 

Have you noticed that our neighborhood has been "bombed" by yard signs from this business?  These signs are illegal.  No business can place advertising signs in public spaces like this.  Imagine if every business that wanted to break into working on Capitol Hill started putting yard signs everywhere?

Election/campaign signs are expressly permitted with certain restrictions, as are community event signs or other community signs (think school events, yard sales, missing pets), as long as they are removed after the event. Similarly, real estate signs are permitted with certain restrictions.  


I have communicated with Charles Allen's office and my ANC, and I have been advised that any citizen may take down these signs and dispose of them.

What would be so much better, however, would be for our elected representatives to contact this business to advise them of the fact that they are breaking the law and have them come back to our neighborhood to remove the signs.
