JOGGER RETURNS HOME AND FINDS BURGLAR IN HER APARTMENT ‘Very, very
disturbing,’ witness says By Scherzer Bernstein
A robber broke into an apartment on 11th Street NE on Sunday afternoon,
ransacked the home and threatened the resident when she returned home,
police and neighbors said.
The trouble began just before 3 p.m. when a woman living in the 100 block
of 11th Street NE near Lincoln Park exited her home to go jogging,
according to an MPD police report.
She told police she locked her front door and hid her house key under some
leaves directly in front of her home.
Apparently, she was being watched.

When she returned home, she noticed her front door was open. Then she saw a
man exiting her home through the front door with a MacBook, HP laptop,
iPhone, earbuds and purse, according to a police report.
The woman later told a neighbor that the thief ordered the woman to back
out of the residence, which she did and then she snapped a picture of him.
The man then fled to a car parked across the street in Arrighi alley
adjacent to 130 11th St. NE, the police report said.
She later told neighbors that when she went to take a photo of his car, he
defiantly said, “Go ahead, it’s stolen.”
Local residents expressed shock.
“Extremely disturbing!” wrote Chellie on a local Listserv. “So glad they
are OK physically. If you speak with them please let them know we're here
to help anyway we can.”

which will take up a larger part of the former Hype space, Smith said. As a
percentage of overall sales, e-commerce within A Few Cool Stores ranges

to cost in the six figures, the Washington Business Journal reported.

completed in time for spring next year, Frager’s workers told LPN it might
be open in time for the Christmas season. They also said the space is big

Frager's is one of the oldest stores in the group's portfolio. Renovations
are also underway at the Fairfax Ace Hardware and the Ace Silver Spring
store. The company wants to add to its network.
