[Lincolnparkdc] Mosquito Bucket of Doom.....

This is a brilliant idea. I’m definitely going to give it a try. And while it may not allow exactly five gallons, I’ve a good large outdoor pot with no drainage holes that’s going to get water and dunks and hopefully look some better than a bucket!

Actually, I realize to an extent I’ve been practicing this technique in the last several years. I add Summit “Mosquito Bits” (biological mosquito control) to an exterior standing water drain, and that seems to work and sprinkle them in an enclosure with lattice doors that contain gas meters, and that has been a monumental change for the better. I can’t believe it didn’t occur to me sooner this enclosure was a maternity ward for mosquitoes!

I hope not to need this ever again as it is a pesticide, but I will say Summit’s Mosquito & Gnat Barrier is effective. I’m excited to give this "bucket of doom" approach an all out effort.

Thank you Martha.

I am passing this along, first of all to find out if anyone out there has already tried this and how it worked for you, and secondly, to hopefully cut down on the amount of pesticides being sprayed in our neighborhood.
