 Brian,Due to my family obligations and my own age, I am usually unable to participate in Capitol Hill events.  However, I am delighted that you are among those who are making arrangements to celebrate Eastern Markets 150th anniversary.  Do keep me posted as to how things are going.

You may not be aware of this, but 2023 marks the 150th anniversary of continuous operations at Eastern Market.  Community stakeholders are planning a schedule of activities and events throughout the year to:  a) Deepen our Understanding of the History of the market b) Promote the Vendors, Artisans and Merchants that earn their livelihood through the market c) Leverage the anniversary to Promote the Arts and d) Celebrate the Community that supports the market.  
There is a meeting in the North Hall this evening (28 Feb) at 7PM to discuss the current schedule of planned events and solicit feedback.  All are welcome.
