[Lincolnparkdc] Proposed New DC Circulator Bus Route on East CapitoL

 As a resident of the Lincoln Park area since 1963, I am delighted to learn that the East Capitol Street route is going to return. Are all the positive messages which I have read being forwarded to the government?  If not, must we all do so individually and if so, what is the correct address to use?Thanks to all who have already responded in support of the return of the East Capitol Street route.Hazel Kreinheder

 DDOT is formally proposing to add a new route on East Cap. The route in primarily designed to serve Ward 7, but it will come in on East Cap around RFK and proceed west to Third NE and then north to Union Station.  This, for people living near East Cap, it will provide a new efficient way to get to Union Station and transfer to other destinations. 
However as currently proposed, there will be NO bus stop between 17th an 8th, a long distance. I’m proposing that they also add a stop at 12th, on the north side of the park for westbound busses and on the south for eastbound. 
If you would welcome this route and in particular, the addition of stops at 12th Street, I encourage you go on record in support of it. 
DDOT will host a virtual public meeting on the evening of September 14, 2022, for feedback on the final recommendations. The public comment period will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022.
