[Lincolnparkdc] RFK Concert, again?

In the 25 years I've lived near Lincoln Park I've heard music and other
noise coming from events held occasionally at RFK and the Armory and it's
never bothered me.
I think the concern many residents have after the events this weekend and
the last is that the city will make this a regular thing in the spring and
summer months. The day-and-night noise the last two weekends, heard even
miles away, has added to this concern.
It's nonsense to argue, as many have done on this topic, that people
voicing such concerns don't know the rules of city life. In fact, having
regard for one's neighbors is the very essence of urbanity. Subjecting
people who live here to day-and-night noise on the weekends would violate
that social contract.
Our ANCs and other elected officials should make clear to the organizers of
these events, and to the city officials charged with approving them, that
the level and duration of noise we have experienced must be an
infrequent exception, not a regular rule.
