[Lincolnparkdc] Invitation to next week's Open Gov Summit featuring MPD Transparency and Accountability

Next Week is Sunshine Week and the DC Open Government Coalition is organizing an event on Wednesday, March 16, 6:30-8:00PM. around MPD transparency and accountability.


We have invited recently appointed Chief Robert J. Contee III (confirmed) to address concerns District residents, activists and journalists have raised about access to MPD information, including records, body-worn camera videos, and officer discipline proceedings. We will also hear from nonprofit and private-sector experts and activists about their experiences seeking information from the MPD.
