[Lincolnparkdc] Basement Renovation and Stairway Redesign

We weren't trying to get our basement up to code -- too involved and our
ceiling would have been too low. But we gained a few inches by moving some
pipes to lift ceiling. You can also do a dig out (our contractor did this
for one section at the back). You can google height requirements. Unless
your contractor is doing to handle all the permitting and DCRA approval
process (and knows what they are doing -- I still recommend hiring an
architect first. Worth every penny.)
