  I have used Computer Jewelers since the mid 1980s.  They are located just off CT Ave NW, a few blocks northwest of the White House.  You can find their map,hours, etc. on the Internet. The family has been in business for 75 years and has serviced many White House personal over those years.They do everything from putting batteries in watches, restringing necklaces, selling and repairing all kinds of jewelry, including stones and antiques in addition to selling and resetting diamonds.

Jodi, I.have always used Goldworks in Alexandria for repairs. David is very good. For big stuff I would recommend Boone and Sons.
