[Lincolnparkdc] Odd door knock behavior 100 block 12th NE 8 pm

Hi, Neighbors.

Sharing in case this is a pattern.
It could be prank knockers, or someone casing.

At 7:59 pm an individual rushed up our walk from a black bicycle, (a
companion on another dark-colored bicycle remained on the sidewalk,
obscured by bushes, gesturing at their companion), on to our stoop, stepped
on the actual door threshold, facing away from the camera, double knocked
hard, turned and ran down the walk. Then hopped onto the bike proceeding
North on 12th where my camera cut off.

We were in the front room and opened the door immediately upon hearing the
knock. The person was entirely out of sight, having rode away very quickly.

In the "Nextdoor" neighborhood boards, this behavior has seen a recent
uptick and has been linked to burglaries. Both creating distraction while
another person enters a home from a different entrance, and casing for
future attempts.

Description of person:
White/light skin.
Slim build.
At least 5 foot high, but not tall.
Mid-toned navy blue mottled/tiedyed loose-fit hoodie, pulled up and
obscuring the face, grey close fit athletic pants, white sneakers with dark
striping.
Indecipherable younger voices.

If these are your kids, at least teach them to prank the correct house.
