This story will interest those who are concerned about DDOT overeach. It
was on WAMU, DC public radio, this morning and in DCist.

D.C. Auditor Looking Into Vision Zero Program

This article begins "The Office of the D.C. Auditor will undertake a
10-month investigation into the work of the District’s Vision Zero program,
the city’s flailing effort to eliminate traffic deaths and major injuries
by 2024."  Vision Zero is the program that supposedly mandates what DDOT
wants to do to NC Ave.   ANC6A should not be party to pushing ahead to
rescue a flailing program.  This story and the one below strongly suggests
that the motivation for the NC Ave work is not, as DDOT et al suggest, to
complete an almost-there success,but to administer CPR to a failing project.
