[Lincolnparkdc] Commercial vehicles on Ind. Ave

Reading  here at my window I have seen at least 5 commercial trucks well
over the legal limit travel down Independence Ave. in the past 30 minutes.
I raised this with the city through their required reporting process years
ago, along with a request for a traffic study. No one responded.
Of course the pre-pandemic gridlock has returned to 13th and Ind. I still
recall with amusement Will Handsfield from DDOT during the bike lane debate
saying traffic will permanently lessen—mysterious reasoning now as then.
I’ve given up expecting elected or appointed officials to do anything to
make our streets truly safer and more peaceful. Vision Zero indeed.
