[Lincolnparkdc] Our City Trash crews

Just wanted to point out that the trash crews today really did a great job
picking up as much of the block party trash and yard waste bags as
possible. They emptied the truck and came down our block again to continue
grabbing the yard bags but there are still a few left. I gave them drinks
and packets of snacks and they said they would keep getting them over the
next couple of pickups.

I don't know if you realize, but we've had the same trash crews for years
in the 100 bl of Kentucky. As you can imagine, it's not the best job, and
with all the trouble everyone is having filling all kinds of positions, I
am very thankful for them. So if you get a chance, tell them thanks or
offer them a cold bottle of water on a hot day. I keep my basement fridge
stocked with drinks and snacks that I give to them when I see them, but I'm
not always working from home on Mon and Thursdays.
