[Lincolnparkdc] NO PARKING ON Kentucky Avenue for Five Weeks

The No Parking signs on one side of Kentucky will be in effect every day
from 7am until 5pm, so you can park there at night, just move your car
during the day. For people who use their car every day, like my husband who
leaves the house at 7am and doesn't return home until well after 5pm, this
will be fine. If you typically store your car (like me with my minivan) on
our block for days or weeks at a time, just move it to the other side of
Kentucky, or some other block for those days. This way the striping teams
will be able to get a good cleaning of our street before the paint goes
down. First Choice Masonry is the DDOT contractor.
I personally am very gratified to see all the increase of bicyclists of all
ages using our street, and the many dozens of pedestrians I see every day
using the crosswalk. If you build it, they will come. (apologies to Field
of Dreams)
