Hi.  A lovely friend of mine has offered to provide free notary services in the neighborhood.  Her name is Crystal Norman and her statement is below (this is from several months ago so she has now been doing this a lot longer):
In the past 6 months I've noticed 6-7 urgent requests for basic document notarization on the MOTH listserv. I was commissioned this month in DC as a Notary Public.  I'd like to offer free document notarization services.  I'd ask folks just send me a text message and I'll coordinate meeting up from there.  I live and work on the Hill so I'm almost always going to be able to help someone out within a few hours.  I'll work out what works best for someone and we can socially distance to the degree they need. It's likely going to be that I'll offer to stop by their yard (thanks Covid) after work M-F.  We can meet in public spots too like coffee shops.  I'm happy to help on the weekends if I am around.I'm not interested in or willing to accept payment.  I would be grateful if they would consider making a donation to DC Volunteer Lawyers Project.I have witnessed firsthand this very small nonprofit help people in our community with the kind of compassion and effort I want to see more of in the world.  Bringing attention to their cause and maybe a donation here and there are ways I can think of to help.  I'm not professionally associated with this organization at all.  If I'm being candid, this organization helped me navigate a scary event in my own life and this is my attempt to pay good things forward. There is absolutely no requirement to donate.  I truly do not even want to know if someone donates or not.  I just feel inspired to help in the little ways I can. Other information to work into the posting:     Remote and virtual notarizations are not permitted in DC.My number is 202-400-0501.
My request to consider information:DC Volunteer Lawyers ProjectDC Volunteer Lawyers Project – A Voice for Victims & Children (dcvlp.org)Top Right hand side click "Donate".Scroll down, Make any selection or Click "Other Amount" (absolutely any dollar amount given with good intention beautiful).    Under the "I want to support" select the DV program. From there one can use their credit card, wallet or bank account information.

I’m needing something notarized today, any good recommendations for a Notary here in the Hill?
Thanks,
