[Lincolnparkdc] Aphid help!

Hi all:

Wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to combat an aphid
infestation in our Crepe Myrtle tree. Several of our neighbors use
Mosquito Squad and, apparently as a result, our tree is covered in aphids –
I think the mosquito treatment might ward off natural aphid predators
though I don’t know for sure. This means the tree shed leaves that are
covered in sticky aphid gunk that gets on other plants and makes a real
mess. I’m also worried about the health of the tree. In the past Mosquito
Squad offered a treatment in which they injected some chemical into the
ground around the tree that repelled the aphids to some extent. They no
longer offer that treatment. I know spraying neem oil and similar things
helps but the tree is quite tall (25 feet or so) and large so it is
impossible to cover the tree’s leaves even when I get on the ladder. Does
anyone know of services that can treat the tree or have other ideas? Any
insight would be very much appreciated.

Thanks so much.

PS I have tried to purchase ladybugs, which do eat aphids. In the past
Ginko carried them but they lost their supply due to the fires on the west
coast last year. Does anyone have a ladybug source?
