Dear Barracks Row Neighbor,


This morning the US Capitol Police issued a notification for a planned
city-wide first amendment demonstration tomorrow, Tuesday, December 7,
2021, beginning at 7:00 a.m.  Shutdown DC, a group that has engaged in
demonstration activity in D.C. numerous times before, has teamed up with
some other activist groups to disrupt tomorrow’s morning commute with a
particular focus on Capitol Hill.


The Capitol Police and partner agencies have indicated that they have a
plan to quickly clear any impacted roads and intersections. Please be aware
that traffic may be severely impacted. Consider making alternate travel
plans, if necessary.
