[Lincolnparkdc] A response from Charles Allen regarding a meeting.

For neighbors who have tried or have been wanting to have a further
discussion with Charles Allen about traffic calming in and around Lincoln
Park and particularly about the C. Street implementation projects' impact
of increased speeding and reduced parking for the Lincoln Park
neighborhood.
He responded to the North Carolina Ave. group (below).  Are we being naive?

nothingness from the meeting, should we expect anything to come of this?

Good morning neighbors.



I believe we are in the process of setting up a meeting with Delancey and
neighbors to talk about North Carolina Avenue. I was waiting to hear back
whether you’d like DDOT there or not.



In terms of larger speeding issues, I’ve worked hand-in-hand with many
neighbors (and have been fighting for years to get funding loaded) for the
C Street NE reconstruction. That will have a significant impact in reducing
volume and speeds headed into the neighborhood. We’ve worked together
slowing traffic coming from and through 11th, successfully converting
multiple intersections into all-way stops, lowering the speed limits, etc.
But I’m always happy to keep working with you to do more. Let me know if
we’d like to pull something together – could do an outdoor conversation at
Lincoln Park if you’d like.
