[Lincolnparkdc] Election ballots misdelivered on 1300 block of North Carolina Ave N.E.

I'm sure others have checked this already but just in case...I did send an email today to DC Board of Elections on how to deal with ballots delivered to addresses where (a) the addressee no longer lives there; (b) the addressee is unknown and had never lived there. Whatever. Sent to the wrong address.

The reply from DC Board of Elections is as follows:

"If ballots are arriving for voters who do not live in your residence anymore, please mark it “Return to Sender” and drop in the mail. "

If the person's registration was never changed or updated, that's why the ballot was sent out. They were sent to every registered voter at every address. There is nothing nefarious or neglectful here -- just return to sender.

You may wish to ask your neighbors if you've not gotten your ballot.

At this point in the game this is really an egregious muck up.
