It was in front of the door of a neighbor who is seldom here (for whom I often take in such packages)/ It had been out all nite and the address was obscured. But I did get it; lucky me, lucky dog.
Thanks anyway folks. Alice hall

>> You may want to register to get a text message when a package is delivered. You can register for free with UPS, USPS, and FedEx. (For USPS, search for “informed delivery”.) Amazon can also send you a text when your package is delivered, so you don’t need to register with the individual shippers.

>> In most cases, the text message comes within a few minutes of delivery. However, the Post Office is pretty unreliable (big surprise); they often scan the bar code as ‘delivered’ without actually delivering the package. But it is better than nothing.

>> Depending on what kind of door camera you have, you may be able to have it send you an alert whenever someone approaches your door. Turn that on when you are expecting a package, so you don’t get a notice every time YOU go in or out.
