Here is information about drop boxes for voting, so you don't have to rely on USPS

There is one at Eastern Market, the SE Library and the NE library.
If there are people on the listserv that can't get to these, email and I'd be happy to take your ballot to a drop box.

One can't help but wonder, if they stopped texting while delivering mail, if they might get it right. Day after day, I watch on our camera, the postal carrier texting while walking up to the front door, stand there finishing her texting then shoving the mail quickly in the slot only to return to texting as she exits our house. One the days they aren't texting, they actually review the mail to make sure they are delivering all the mail addressed to the property they are entering.

Isn't there a neighbor who is a postal worker on this listserv? Can you ask the supervisors to collect everyone's phone before they leave to deliver mail? I was told by Diana, our previous carrier, they are forbidden from using their phones while delivering mail.
They can get it back when they are done for the day. I'll bet it takes 1/3 less time to deliver mail if they put it away.

Just saying....

You are not alone.

Two weeks ago I talked with the USPS - once again - about the fact we have not had service on our route in months (not weeks).

This is not new.

Currently, the mail I receive is hand delivered from my next door church neighbor, and they receive mail for recipients blocks away.

A sad story with horrific implications for mail in voting.

But that is another matter), and I will ask her/him to deliver these envelopes tomorrow!
