The full ANC addressed this issue Tuesday. I was pleased that the motion to support Alt A to add a bike lane to Pennsylvania Avenue was amended to request/require DDOT to study the impact of traffic being diverted to adjoining streets (which presumably includes Independence Avenue) and provide a report to the community. That is my understanding based on listening in. I’m not sure if they said request or require.

Another opportunity for community input will be this winter when the project reaches the 30% design Phase.

Actual work is not expected before 2022 to allow street lighting and traffic signal utility work to occur in the interim.
