Gina,
Thanks for sharing your contextual presentation which I fully agree is extremely helpful and trying to parse through what all this really means, why it's being done and what the impacts will be. And I will forward it to my list today. Those on this list can ignore. Sorry, I've had a few other things on my plate the last couple of days.
The one area I did flag with Will Handsfield at DDOT already is where Kentucky comes down to meet Independence. I wanted to make sure that since there seems to be a narrowing there, DDOT would not be proposing any removal of parking spots to accommodate. They say that they think that won't be necessary.
Just to flag to all, anyone who has specific parking concerns regarding a particular area/intersection/alley entrance, let me know and I'll do what I can to get clarifications/guesstimates. As I previously mentioned when I sent the email on this to 6b05 residents, the best course is to send specific comments, questions, views directly to Will Handsfield at DDOT (William.Handsfield2 at dc.gov) but copy me (6b05 at and.dc.gov) and Kirsten Oldenburg (6b04 at anc.dc.gov), chair of the ANC6B Transportation Committee so that we can see and follow up if needed. Several residents have already sent comments this week and from what I've seen, Will has responded and engaged all of them directly.
best,
Steve

Dear All:
Has anyone seen or heard about this notice of intent to install “advisory bike lanes” on Ky Ave between E Capitol and 15th SE? It’s not exactly clear from the notice what this involves, but it could affect parking as well as right-of-way.

Steve Holtzman, our ANC6B05 rep, is on this list. Perhaps he can comment.
Regards,
Tom
