There are two factors one the value of the features of the house and second its “sellability”. If you took the same house and moved it a block away in a “cleaner” setting 4-7% variance in market value would be reasonable and also more sellable thus the greater value

Adding chuck to this chain. Chuck will you please weigh in on the below property value comment?
John - in general I think we have to come off as pro bike lane but anti pylon for so many reasons including visual pollution and bad urban design, includ8ng how unfriendly they are to the humans who would live in front of them day 8n and day out.

I know both of you having been talking to realtors about the impact bike proposal. You’ve indicated they agree it would have a negative impact, but did not suggest an amount.
I’m trying to get a general feel and am thinking of suggesting $50K. I suspect those of us who get the pylons in front of our homes, lose the ability to unload groceries in front of our home and will regularly have to park farther from our homeS will feel it the most.
Does $50K seem reasonable to you? It does not need to be precise. I’m just trying to get thru to some people who can’t comprehend why we‘re so concerned about this. Just don’t want to quote a totally irresponsible number.
