Thanks, Sharon. Well that’s unsettling. I have to say that I am extremely
frustrated. I don’t know where we go from here. Thoughts from others?
I sent the below note to 1D Police Commander Kane last night but have
received no reply. Charles - can you help us get some answers? I imagine
this is a delicate situation but we can’t have this harassment continue and
whose to say he won’t take it to the next level.
XXXXX
Commander Kane:
Below is an update that I posted to the Lincoln Park listserve this
morning. I checked and MPD was not involved this morning, only the Capitol
Hill Police.
In addition to the two incidents described below that happened this
morning, another neighbor reported a third incident from this morning: the
young man was yelling at a passerby that he was being raped.
We’re all glad that the neighbor chased the young man down, flagged down
the Capitol Hill Police and that the young man’s father was alerted to all
of what’s been going on, etc. Hopefully the young man will get the mental
health help that he needs now, but how can we know that we’re safe again as
a community and that we can again let our kids play outside? Will we be
getting updates? The young man’s behavior was seriously escalating over
the last several days, one of our neighbors had to take it into his own
hands to get some help, and kids are still really shaken. How can we stay
somewhat apprised of what’s going to happen from here
Thanks, Kjersten
